The Fin de siècle and La Belle Époque (roughly from 1870 to 1917)
One favourite? – impossible!; but Charles Darwin, Empress Elizabeth, Camille Clifford, James M Whistler, Dante Rossetti, and Polaire for a start.
Shakespearean and Edwardian plays are favourites.
This area has quite a few Spanish colonial, Settler, and WW II era sites which are interesting. Most any local historic site or event. Pseudo-historic Renaissance and Dicken's Faires and Steampunk events would be fun as well.
I love the late-Victorian and Edwardian eras; particularly the arts, and especially stage interests me. But most any other well-told or interesting story from other periods holds my interest as well.
A fun and interesting group.
