Round two of two meetups in the same week-- this time, we do the same place, two nights in a row. If you haven't followed the discussion, the logic is that a few places have been so popular that this was a good way to accommodate everyone who wants to come without needing to reserve multiple tables or one huge table. We had what I (and several others) think was our best outing every at the 12-seat round table with the lazy susan in the middle-- everyone had the chance to try everything. Hey, the name of the group starts with "adventures," right?
Oh-- if you've never been, it is, in my opinion and that of many others in the group, the BEST Chinese food in this part of the country. It's definitely the most popular place with the local Chinese population, and if you want a true eating adventure, they'll certainly provide it. But they also do most of the usual Chinese-American dishes too, so you don't have to be too brave if you don't want. Also, the round table makes for a really fun, shared experience. Finally, the adventure continues in Hong Kong Market next door, a really extensive (for Mid-Mo anyway) Chinese (and more!) grocery and cooking store. It's worth taking the time to browse before or after the meetup.
If you do want to come both nights, please do a courtesy to others who want to come and sign up for one, then wait to see how popular the other night is. I'm hosting this one-- Starla's hosting Thursday.
