Chinese Food and Demonstration- $5

Come on over and learn how to make yummy Chinese food. The dishes of the event include: Low Mein, Pork Dumplings, Egg Rolls, and dipping sauces. There will be a demonstration on how to make Low Mein so everyone can taste. I will take care of the Mise En Place for the Egg Rolls and Pork Dumplings before everyone arrives so we can focus our time filling the wonton wrappers, refining our wrapping skills, and cooking them off. For the dumpling and egg roll portion of the event, I will set up rotating stations so everyone has a chance to learn each step.

I will put together an electronic copy of all the recipes so you can practice at home later on. I am asking participants to pitch in $5 each for the cost of the supplies. Keep in mind, everyone will be taking home some Pork Dumplings and Egg Rolls.

Due to the logistics of the event, this event is capped at 14 people.

    Quick question ... Are we supposed to bring along an appetizer to share? It's been a while since I've attended one of these, but the last time we were all asked to bring along something to share. I'm happy to do so, but I don't want to steal someone else's thunder if it's their day to shine. Please let me know.

      Hi, great question! While that is very considerate, we will be spending the whole time rotating through stations and learning the steps. There will be samples of the food we are making but we won't really have room or time for a big array of snacking.

    Wow...how exciting to see such a huge interest in only a few hours. We are already at 20. Just a reminder, because of the logistics of rotating stations only the first 14 RSVPs are guaranteed spots. If I can figure out a way to add any extra people into the stations, I definitely will.
