let's get the road bikes out on greenways

  • September 7, 2013 · 10:00 AM

We will be riding about 30 miles on Raleigh area greenways. All paved. Average speed should be about 15 mph.

Directions to the start point will be sent after the close of signups on Friday.

These trails have a little roll to them so not as flat as the ATT, but still very ridable.

If you have not done a ride over 20 miles in length in the past 30 days please do NOT sign up for this event.

Helmets are required. Road bikes are recommended but highbrids or if you're fast on your mountain bike can be done.

I couldn't have asked for a nicer day, a more jovial group of riding companions, or a more picturesque pathway. First rate Neuse River Trail. Yep, it really got my adrenaline flowing. Thanks all for making it so!

Should be fun to ride the skinny tires for a change. Thanks for arranging this, Dave!

I'm Mary, and I love cycling. I've mostly cycled alone, but last year, I joined a team and rode the MS New Bern ride. What a thrill. I can't go this year, but my heart is with my team. I look forward to joining this group.
