Eno River – Cox Mountain and Holden Loop Trails

  • November 18, 2012 · 9:00 AM

We will cover approximately 9 miles on the following trails: COX MOUNTAIN LOOP (elevation gain 275’), BUCKQUARTER CREEK, and HOLDEN MILL LOOP (elevation gain 250’). This hike is rated as a 3 according to the new THOG guidelines (slight intermittent elevation gains, rocks, tree roots).

Trails take us through mature forests in the “mountain” sections, as well as excellent scenery along the river for good portions of the hike.

Fit hikers only! Hike will be fast paced with limited stops for drinks/snacks. Please be sure to bring water (1-2 liters), snacks, sturdy footwear, and appropriate protection from elements (we'll hike rain or shine).

Approximately 3 hours. Open to lunch afterward for those interested.
