Hometown: San Francisco
November 9, 2006
On again and off again hiker, biker. I miss the vistas I used to see hiking in Marin County, California. Just got a new digital camera, so I'm interested in testing it on the outdoors. I've also snorkeled a bit. Rock climbing? I'm game to learn.
South Durham, near the end of 147. Easy access to Southpoint, Brier Creek, downtown Durham.
Trail hiking, mtn biking, skiing? (want to learn), photography, sunset watch, boulevardier (sidewalk cafe slack).
Eno River State Park has some of the coolest trails I've found here. Been aking my bike to Lake Crabtree lately.
I used to be a very proficient "fast and light" trail semi-jogger, but have fallen out of shape. Easing back into it, and just bought a new mtn. bike (used to ride 1990-99), so I'm on the lookout for good trails for "beginners."

Such a nice group. Chris and his asst. organizers do a bang-up job.
Hope you make it to a meet up soon! I've missed you =)
Well Thanks You!
Welcome to the Salsa group! Everyone has been really nice and we all have a bunch of fun Salsa dancing. Hope to see you at a meet soon!
Okay you're lying about being from SF! No one from California would eat that!!! :) Looking forward to meeting you later this month.
McArthur had a punch card, too? Sweet!
Here's my formula so far for battling the mid-life crisis:
1) Trade in minivan for 9-3 Convertible
2) Lose the "mom" jeans...per my kids ;-)
3) Say "YES" to fun!
I'm always open to new suggestions. Looking forward to the superbowl party tonight.
Thanks for the warm welcome, David. I enjoyed our conversation during the hike!
Glad I can help, next time we climb more and practice the techniques. :)
It was great meeting you as well! Will definitely take you up on that offer of hiking... would love to find some great trails in the area!
