Hello All....I've lived in the Raleigh area since 1986 and enjoy hiking, but most of my hiking friends have moved away over the years. Hoping to meet some new friends that enjoying doing things.
Cary/Apex area near Penny Rd and Kildare Farm.
Yes to everything in the list above although I've never kayaked. That's something I'd like to try.
My favorite spots are all in the Sierra Nevada, but in NC I like the areas around Boone and Grayson Highlands in Virginia.
Been hiking for about 25 years. If I'm carrying a full pack, I try to limit trips to about 7 miles/day and no more than 1,500 ft of climb these days. I like base camping. Hike to a location, set up camp. Day hike out and back to that spot the next day or two and return.
Not been disappointed by an event yet.
Thanks for the info!
Hi Ken! This trip may interest me, but I have to see whether I can take off that Thursday and Friday. If I am able to go, would it involve packing our food for the 4 days and backpack style camping? In other words, would I bring the same gear I brought to the trip to Hunt Fish Falls, just more food? (I do not own a water filter yet.) Also, what clothing do you wear when caving?
Hi Ken. Do you need me to bring my water filter this weekend?
I dont see the Kentucky trip listed.
I hope you can make it to the worship night in Feb. as I think you will really enjoy it. There are usually around 150 people and a great way to meet people. ~Rebecca, Co-Organizer
How about planning an event for dancing Ken? Places like Longbranch, Tony's or others?
Ken previously signed up for the 1O man tent. Thank you
