Hello, we had a home built in Granville Co, & moved from AZ in May 2007. Previously, we had a summer place, near Durango CO on Vallecito Lake at 7,800 ft ele and hiked there. Love to cook and entertain as well.
As of May 2007, we are out in farm land, 11 miles NW of Wake Forest in the Preserve at Smith Creek Development. Our acre is 1/3 forested, has home & cleared area is covered in flowers, with eight 8X22 raised beds for vegetables & fruits.
Have canoe. Did week MN Boundary Water Canoe Trip & loved it. We pack in for a week stay at times. Never biked, kayaked, or did Cross Country Skiing.
Have hiked all over and loved it all. Hiking to the top of a mountain in Maine, and pickin blueberries was our favorite!! Remote wilderness area are prime with us, including Coyote Buttes!!
We have done 22 miles in one day, in & out to Revis Ranch in the Superstition Wilderness. Last Aug-Oct in Europe, hiked FR,the Pyrenees So, and Mt Blanc No. Also hiked all day at Munich's Oktoberfest!! We can mosey or speed hike, love them both.

Hi Donna, Will, and pup!
Happy New Year! Have misplaced your email address. email sent few days back to 'memory' address, but....
Thank you again for hangin' out with me on Ann's hike a couple weeks back. Great hike, good folks and conversation! Look forward to hangin' out with y'all again soon on more hikes, etc - you guys are my neighbors!
Happy Trails! Hilary
Thank you for the Welcome! My son & I visit family in Greensboro NC often & love to get outdoors in the area while we are visiting! When I read your greeting it made me smile b/c my son (Nason) has decided that he wants to start working towards backpacking & eventually backpack all the way to Grandmas house in NC from ours in Chatt. TN. The idea you posted in the greeting is right up his alley, can't wait to sit down & look through that with him. :-) Wishing you and your family a Happy Holiday!
Thanks for the address. It makes life easier.
I know! I signed up for it already. That happens to be the day after my birthday so I will consider the cookout to be in my honor! LOL! Looking forward to getting dirty and helping clean up my favorite hiking trail!
Nice to meet you at dinner tonight Will. Funny that we were both at Pisgah earlier this year. Michelle said she thought you looked familiar.
Thanks. I love Lone rider but just can't drink too much of it as it gives me a headache. Not sure why. See you.
HI Guys---thanks for your note on the house concert--not to worry about DIETS! as long as you enjoyed the musical fare. It WAS very filling!
Celtic culture YES!
Hi Will & Donna, Welcome. You seem like a very active couple. The most we do is walk on the tobacco trail at the weekends. I will add an intro about us. Still work full time, and have been busy. Hope to see you both at the Duke gdns on the 4th June.
Hi Will & Donna, Thanks for joining the group. You can see we are just getting started. Not sure there is a "bargain basement" for local farm food. The CSA programs offer the best deals because you make a commitment to help the farmers and they lower their prices as a result. I'm afraid that all of us are going to see some significant increases even at the market because fuel and feed prices have increased substantially in the past 3 years for the farms. Susan
