Live salamanders were a challenge. It was easier to stun them so they didn't wiggle all the way down. Moths, on the other hand, were interesting as they fluttered down.
Even Andrew Zimmern balked at the lower intestine of a freshly slaughtered goat that hadn't evacuated its last meal.
After wandering through Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, India and Nepal and enjoying the local food and traveling through Latin America I have to believe there's a way to eat adventurously without getting sick. Effective from of weight control, but...
