Camping & paddling at Caddo Lake State Park

Join us for a memorable trip to Caddo Lake State Park. We will be car camping and day paddling on the most amazing natural lake in Texas and the largest cypress forest in the world. This is an easy alternative to the primitive camping we do on Goat Island which requires canoes or multiple trips in a kayak. The state park is also closer to the bayou which offers the only swimming opportunities. If you have never been to Caddo you can’t imagine the primitive beauty of this shallow lake filled with ancient Spanish moss covered cypress trees, Lillie pads and waterfowl. THIS IS FLATWATER PADDLING PARADISE! Caddo is a popular park and we are into prime camping season so we need a head count and reservations as soon as possible. Our last trip was so enjoyable let's do the same program of pot luck dinner Saturday night. Again, this is a kid friendly event.
