2012 Plano Balloon Festival

The 2012 Plano Balloon Festival takes place this weekend. Unlike the last few years, the weather this year looks like it will be beautiful. Plano barricades Spring Creek Parkway between Parker and Jupiter Road every year for this event. Visitors enter by foot (or bicycle) on Spring Creek Parkway, and the balloons are down the hill in a meadow in Oak Point Park. We could meet at 5 P.M. on Saturday and possibly watch the balloon launch an hour later. Parking is available in the surrounding area. If you want to meet me, give me a call when you park. If you are a prospective member, you may pay your membership dues at this time.
