Evening Talk: A Continental Divide Trail Thru Hike

The 3,100mi Continental Divide Trail is considered one of the most rugged and remote long distance trails in the world. It is the least known and traveled of America’s three longest trails (including the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail) which comprise hiking’s “Triple Crown.” Solo backpacker Erin “Wired” Saver (holds the Mazamas Programs attendance record for her great PCT 2011 show) will be speaking about her 134 day thru hike along the CDT which took her from Mexico to Canada along the spine of North America this past summer. The presentation includes anecdotes, pictures, and videos from Wired’s hike. For a sneak peek, check out her highly followed blog at where she kept a daily detailed journal of her hike.
