Intro to Bouldering for Ladies!

At The NE Circuit Bouldering Gym, 410 NE 17th Ave
Thursday, March 6th. 6pm

Come join very average-skilled climber Colleen Sinsky for a low-key night trying out bouldering! Whether you've never put on a pair of climbing shoes or are are projecting V9s, this evening will be a fun chance to learn in a fun environment, gain confidence, and meet other badass ladies interested in climbing. If there's interest, we'll head to Basecamp Brewery (930 SE Oak) around 8pm for pizza, pita and beers. Wear comfortable clothes (think yoga) and plan on renting shoes and and optional chalk bag at the gym ($4 + $2). A daily pass is $12, but you can often find Groupons, or if you're coming with a friend or two it's worth getting a Chinook Book for the free four-person pass (and many other awesome coupons!). How will you find me? The gym will be crowded, but we'll be stretching by the slacklines until a little after 6, then look for my bright yellow Alaska hoodie! No need to RSVP, but shoot me an email if you have any questions. And for the record, you DON'T need to be able to do a pull-up to enjoy climbing! [masked]

Sorry gentlemen, this event is ladies only. But same time the following Thursday I'll host a co-ed intro + beer night, so check that out on the calendar!

Colleen was great and made everyone feel very comfortable. It was a great way to take the edge off and make bouldering less intimidating for beginners. She, and the great group of ladies that joined, made it a very fun evening!

Lisa, sorry! I thought that was a link! The Chinook Book is an awesome collection of local, sustainable coupons. Including the four-person pass to the Circuit, a buy one get one free intro lesson at Portland Rock gym and all kinds of restaurants and stores. I love it!
