This group is for families with kids who like to be (or need to be) active in the great outdoors. This group is for people who like to be active and know how to stay positive and have fun. The activities we plan will be centered around our son who is 11 years old. That means most of the activities will be aimed at kids 7-ish to 13-ish. This does not mean younger or older kids will not have fun too.  We currently have kids from 1-17 in the group and they all have fun.  We will be doing things like hiking, outdoor nature/education days, hiking, geocaching, hiking, camping, hiking, sports days (actually playing sports at nearby parks), hiking, maybe some easy off-road trips with some hiking, and in case I did not mention it, HIKING!! We will try to visit some nature centers or similar places along with our hikes or community activities. This group is mostly about kids getting together and enjoying the outdoors.  If we learn along the way, which I think we will, then all the better.  Based on the interests and involvement of others we will have a lot of fun while trying to throw in a little learning here and there. This is not a drop off group - all kids must be accompanied by an adult. All families are welcome.
