This time I chose Cuesta Park, in Mountain View, between Miramonte Avenue and Grant Road. You get it from W. El Camino Real, M.V. If you guys want to suggest another location, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment.
Hi, Welcome to Aerial Silks group of Palo Alto and neighboring communities. Aerial Silk is one of many aerial disciplines. It is a workout in all respects, but considered art, like ballet, with a touch of breathtaking tricks that requires body strength. Individuals perform aerial silks on a long fabric, made of polyester or synthetic nylon; the rope is mostly made of tick cotton fibers. These elements are rigged 20, 50, or more feet high. Aerial silks and rope are mostly performed at circuses, but many people now bring aerial silks and rope to many events. This group focuses on sharing skills and working on the silks and rope.We also work on conditioning and choreography. Aerial is a very, very fun (sport) art to practice and requires flexibility, strength, and creativity. The aerial equipment can be easily purchased online from our sponsors. We mostly perform our workouts at a park, when the weather allows. Aerialists, beginning aerialists, and aerial lovers are welcome to join the group. The meetings do not function as classes and we are not responsible for injuries incurred by members. Events are attended at your own risk. We suggest you do an intense warm-up before working on silks or rope. Since members will use our equipment, learn new skills and exercise routines, just like those at a regular school, there will be a donation/contribution box at the meetings to help pay the monthly fees to keep up the group. Thank you for joining us. See you soon! :)
