Affordable Child Care

Families with working parents want the best possible care for their children. Unfortunately, good quality child care can be very expensive. I have met many mothers who could not return to work simply because their salaries could not pay the cost of child care. Highly qualified au-pairs are the best solution for many of these families.

I came to Seattle as an au-pair 2.5 years ago. It was a wonderful experience and worked out very well for both parties. I felt like a family member, while my host "parents" could rest assured that they were leaving their children in trusted hands.

Professional au-pairs are live-in nannies who provide 45 hrs of child care per week for room, board and a weekly stipend. They have at least two years of child related theoretical/practical education and experience in child care. Most of them hold a certificate or degree in fields like Early Childhood Development, Pediatric Nursing (Baby Nurses), Nursery/Kindergarten Teaching, Occupational Therapy etc. (Click on photos to see some au-pairs who are currently looking for host families.)

Another great way to reduce costs is arranging a nanny share. A nanny share can be hard to organize because all families have different needs.
