Peters Canyon SUMMER TIME--7:00 AM! :) Intermediate/Beg. Walk>Hike>Run trails :)

COME HIKE--WALK--RUN the trails! NEW SUMMER TIME of 7:00 AM TIME! :) ****rise & shine!****

WHERE WE MEET: Look for a group at the END/cul-de-sac of "Peters Canyon Rd." (where Peters Canyon Rd. dead ends at and intersects Silverado Terrace off Pioneer in Tustin.) This is the SOUTH/back end ENTRANCE of Peters Canyon Park. Online map link above under "Location" above.                                                    ORGANIZERS for the days hike: It will likely be Susan & or Connie (no Sylvia for now.. )! Feel free to ask us any questions!:)!

IF IT RAINS! We are VERY likely still ON-- taking an alternate route that is really quite nice! Even if the park is closed or it is still raining! --going on the local horse trails/residential area that is very green & hilly :) Just keep an eye out on the RSVP notes and/or an email will be sent out to the group. Just have your water proof gear ready to go! (i like to wear a big plastic bag jacket, water resistant pants & a visor to keep rain out of my eyes.)

NOAA WEATHER REPORT LINK: Click here for our local forecast.

RSVP YES/WAITLIST YOURSELF IF HIKE IS FULL: People do drop out. Please manage/update your RSVP's and show up.

ONLINE/GOOGLE MAP DIRECTIONS: You NEED to come in off JAMBOREE or TUSTIN RANCH ROAD to PIONEER to get to this location. For online/google maps, use this address: 10992 Silverado Terrace, Tustin, CA, 92782. Google/MeetUp map directions link: http://www.meetup.com...

ALL LEVELS WELCOME!

Intermediates: will take the Eucalyptus Trail and do the challenging East Ridge View Trail (hill/ridge route,)  Beginners: If you are-- it is wise to make a note in the RSVP notes and maybe a backup email to the organizer of the days hike and/or Sylvia so we know you are coming PRIOR to the hike-- otherwise it will be luck of the draw if anyone shows for the beginner route. (most of the time the group is intermediate level and we want to make sure you'll have some company on the easier section of the lower Peters Canyon Trail.

--about 1/2 way through we will all meet where the Peters Canyon Trail intersects with the East Ridge View Trail (tree & picnic table) continuing on to the Lake View Trail loop around the reservoir and return back-- about 5.5 miles in 2 1/2 hrs.

TRAIL MAPS: Some Peters Canyon Regional Park trails & topography maps are available under our "Files" link: downloadable maps link.

PARKING: Street parking is available, but often crowded-- give yourself time to walk in. READ these Parking Signs-- You might get a ticket if you park in the "No Stopping Anytime" zone. On weekends it's OK to park at Peters Canyon Elementary School or Cedar Grove Park.

DIRECTIONS: YOU NEED TO COME IN OFF JAMBOREE or TUSTIN RANCH ROAD to PIONEER to get to this location. From the 5 Freeway, you'll exit Tustin Ranch Road and head North towards the foothills. Drive approx. 3 miles. Staying in the left hand lane will take you left on Pioneer Way (signal). Immediately get into the right lane, and take the next right on Pioneer Road (signal). This road will wind around past the Cedar Grove Park. Continue down around a little curve (past the elementry school on left) to the first STOP sign, which is Peters Canyon Road, and take a left. You can curb park on the right side near the end of this road (if spots are available, see "PARKING" above.) We meet at this street's END/cul-de-sac where there's a sign for Peters Canyon Trail.

BE PREPARED: Please bring correct hiking shoes, water, sunscreen/hat, snack. Drink plenty of water BEFORE you hike. Please know your limits as these hills can be quite challenging!!

BE RESPONSIBLE for yourself: The Organizer of this Activity is not a professional. By signing up, you are responsible for and assuming all the risks involved in your choosing to participate in this Activity. Again-- be prepared! and know your limits :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
