Lecture: Looking at African Art in the 21st Century
Dr. Rebecca Martin Nagy, Director of the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida and former Curator of African Art and Associate Director of Education at the NCMA, grapples with the challenge of how to look at, reflect on, and talk about the rapidly evolving and dynamic field of African art. At the Harn Museum of Art she has guided the growth of the African collection to include works in a variety of media and from cultures ranging from Ethiopia to South Africa and from Ghana to Somalia.
The lecture is free, but you will be responsible for purchasing your meal.
