Hello Ladies,

I thought it would be nice to organize a book club meetup group for women, that meet to discuss books by African American authors.  I used to read all the time and thought that this would encourage me to get back in the groove.  If you are over 35 years of age, like reading books by African American/Black authors, would like to discuss and hear other's perspectives on books and would like to meet in locations where we can have coffee, desert and or lunch, this meetup is for you.  Also this group is about networking, talking "Sister to Sister", educating, and listening.

Is this Bookclub just about books?  No, it's about sisterhood, sharing, helping, bonding.  We will attend movies and plays and critique them as well.  We will travel far and near.  We will attend shows and museums.  This is about whatever we want it to be about. Let's meet and decide what we want to get out of this group.
