4 Little Girls

From the event hosts
"Wade Henderson of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights hosts the screening with a panel to follow featuring Sam Pollard and Doug Jones.

September 15, 1963. The African-American 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, is bombed. Four young girls, Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Denise McNair died in the attack. Their deaths shocked the nation and helped galvanize passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the bombing, the Festival screens Spike Lee’s Oscar-nominated 4 Little Girls to tell the story of the girls and the bombing. Lee uses the incident to explore race relations and civil rights in the 1960s and examine how tragic events like these reverberate through the decades to today. An unflinching look at the not-so
distant past that should be required viewing for all."

The only thing I would add is that when you see a young sister wanting to emulate Nicki, NeNe, ReRe, or any of these other media people, tell them about these 4 little girls from Alabama,

Peace

A few updates, if there is someone attending and is POSITIVE they are attending email me at [masked].
If anyone wants to attend and they DO NOT HAVE A TICKET email me at [masked]
If anyone wants to attend and they have not received a ticket confirmation email, hit me at [masked].

We are trying to make sure that those who want to attend can, and we don't have any ticket issues that are avoidable.

Remember we do not control attendance for this event, so the venue has the final say so. If there are ticket issues Saturday I will not be available until later in the day because I will be in Linganore at the wine festival leading that event.
