Since our group is about discovering our heritage and making friends for us and our kids, it is important that our members attend events regularly. However, we know life gets busy so we ask that you attend at least one event every month in order to stay an active member. If we notice your attendance has been limited, we will contact you to see if everything is okay. If after 60 days you have not attended an event or contacted one of the organizers, you will be dropped from the group.
Our group functions on member participation, without it we would have nothing. If you RSVP Yes to an event, we ask that you make every effort to attend that event. If for some reason you are unable to attend please contact the event organizer so they know not to expect you. If you do not contact the event organizer you will be marked as a no-show and after three no-shows in a six-month period you will be removed from the group.
We ask that all members RSVP with either a Yes or No to all events listed on the calendar. If you are a maybe, please chose No and then put in your comment that you are actually a maybe. This way the event organizers can plan accordingly.
Code of Conduct
As in all social groups of this type a certain amount of networking may take place, but these gatherings should not be viewed as a business opportunity. In times of crisis, charitable auctions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. For the sake of keeping these events social, all gratuities are strictly limited to applause and/or praise. Criticism, if any, should be constructive, polite, and privately offered. Everybody is expected to be tolerant of views and beliefs of all other members. (This is America, and you don’t have to agree with other members, but disagreements should not be personalized, loud or impolite) Members who intentionally violate the code of conduct will be asked to leave this group.
