The group is aimed at bringing Africans in greater Seattle area together, just for the social benefits of doing so;

-Making friends from other parts of Africa
-Getting a glimpse of other African cultures through conversation, etc
-Perhaps meeting others from our countries
-Sharing a language with some of the people we meet
-Hearing news of home from people who recently returned
-Not to mention the fun and interesting people we'll meet (but it's mentioned). :)
...just to name a few benefits

We may eat, drink, dance, bowl, hike, check out the latest African themed exhibits, however the mood strikes.
