If you are looking to connect with fellow Africans and friends of Africa; meet new people, expand your network, and learn about Africa - then you are at the right place.  Lets meet & share with others our diverse cultures, history, and the American experience.  Anyone including non-Africans are free to join this group.  Our meetup will also give our members who are new to the U.S./Los Angeles the opportunity to make friends, thereby easing the process of adapting to the new LA environment. 

Our activities include but are not limited to city weekend tours, a reading club, brunch/dinning, hiking, movies, and recreational sports.  All members are welcomed and encouraged to participate in suggesting and organizing activities.  When you sign up for an event, we understand that things come up and you may not be able to attend.  You can cancel 24 hours before the event; but if you don't cancel and you don't show up, you will get two chances before you are removed from the group. With that said, we extend a warm welcome to you and we look forward to fun times together.        

MEETUP is commercially run and as such our group is charged a monthly maintenance fee of $12.  Your contribution of under $4 is appreciated and will keep us open for a full year.  You can get in touch with the organizer for more information on how to contribute.
