I will be traveling next week from Mon thru Thu and I am hoping one or more of our members who walk regularly can lead the walk. If you plan to walk on Mon 2/8 and Wed 2/10, please be sure to sign up so that we can check there is more than one person and it is safe to walk. I will be back on Fri 2/12.
This group is about doing evening exercise through an easy-paced walk after dinner around the Marina. We will walk at 7 pm three days a week on Mon, Wed and Fri (with optional drinks depending on interest on Fridays).
The walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will take anywhere between 45 min to 1 hour. We will start at 7 pm in front of the Marina Del Rey public library and walk along the Marina by the water along Bali Way pier, Mindanao Way pier through Burton Park, towards Fiji Way and back. We can enjoy the sunset and the view.
Feel free to walk at your own pace, as we have some fast, medium and some slower walkers. Walking together, we will also provide safety for each other. This will not be a rigorous walk and probably is geared towards 40+, 50+ age group, although other age groups are most welcome to join. We will most likely take the same path at least in the beginning but add variations as we go along and depending on the group interest. I hope the walks will also provide a chance to meet our neighbors and connect with the people in our community in a relaxed setting.
