Green Mountain Full Moon Rise After Work Hike & Dinner

We'll hike up Green Mountain from the Florida Lot doing a loop with great views of the city and the mountains, and watch the full moon rise at 7:21pm during the hike. The hike will be approximately 3 miles with 750' of elevation gain, and we'll hike on trails that we help build during our trail work days this year. After the hike, those interested will go to Moe's Original BBQ for dinner/drinks.

Please note the details about bringing appropriate gear and in case of bad weather in this Meetup Group's Welcome description. The sun will set at 6:42pm during the hike, so bring a headlamp, and dress appropriately remembering that it will get cooler after sunset. Dogs are welcome on this hike, but they must be on a leash and you must pick up after them. If you join this hike, you are agreeing to this waiver.

Directions: We're meeting at the Florida Lot of Green Mountain/William Frederick Hayden Park, on the west side of W. Alameda Pkwy (across from W. Florida Dr.), about 1/4 mile north of the Alameda/Jewell intersection in Lakewood (do not go to the Utah Lot which is a little south of the Florida Lot). Click here for a Google map with directions.

A clear night for a fantastic full moon rise--we saw the moon just above the horizon! Great hike with nice people, and nice dinner at Moe's afterward.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
