Hi After Work Hikers,
I currently have two trail work days scheduled in the next few weeks. The trail work days are a lot of fun and good exercise, and the trails you work on will be there for generations to come. Also, I give priority in advancing people from the wait to those that have done trail work with this group recently. I do not put a limit on how many people can attend the trail work days. You can attend either or both trail work days—all help is appreciated!
I just opened for registration the Trail Work Day--Red Rocks Park on Saturday, October 13 at 8:30am until approximately 3pm (click on the link to register). Lunch (burritos—meat and vegetarian— from Santiago's Mexican Restaurant plus other goodies that volunteers bring) will be provided. You will be charged $3 for the lunch which you will pay when you register. We'll be finishing work on the Funicular Trail which runs downhill from the Upper North Lot of the park.
The Trail Work Day--Green Mountain/Lakewood on Saturday, September 29 at 7:45am to approximately 1pm remains available for registration (click on link to register). We'll finish closing an old trail (a different one than before) near a new trail that we helped build a couple months ago. After the trail work, we'll go to nearby Frontroom Pizza for lunch (each person pays their own).
