The celebrations go until 11pm. At Chinese New Year celebrations people wear red clothes. Red symbolizes fire, which according to legend can drive away bad luck.
The fireworks that shower the festivities are rooted in a similar ancient custom. Optional to wear something red! The city’s streets will host colourful floats and thousands of parade participants will wow audiences, it’s show stopping stuff, full of music and fireworks. (Outdoor party goes until 11pm for solid stayers!!!!)
