Hear a lecture about a haunted house in the actual haunted house!

On Saturday, February 18th at 7pm Dan Sturges, my friend, my brother, my colleague will be giving a lecture at The Merchant's House Museum about the investigations he's been conducting there for the last 5 years.

The Merchant's House Museum (MHM) was built in 1832 and was home to the Tredwell family for almost 100 years. The house is complete with the original furniture and the Tredwell's personal belongings.

The haunting has been reported since 1936, when the house was renovated into a museum and has continued to as recent as last December. It took a couple of investigations before we started getting results and now we seem to gather something more often than not. On February 18th I'm happy to be speaking about the data that has, so far, been collected, how we caught it and what it might or might not be able to prove.

This is not a lecture that I am putting together so payments must be made directly to the museum. The price of the lecture will be $20 and all the money collected will go to the upkeep of the museum. The people at the MHM are some of the nicest people you'll meet and really care about the house and preserving it and the priceless collection within.

Not only is the MHM an amazing place to learn about life in the decades before the civil war, it's the only accredited museum, that I know of, who are open to regular paranormal investigations. The MHM is a notoriously haunted location in NYC, it's been on the radar of most of the paranormal groups in the area so I'm grateful that they trust me enough to allow me to poke around the house in the middle of the night.

The folks at The Merchant's House will also be selling some raffle tickets for a chance to win a night spent in the house on one of our investigations. So, come down on the 18th of February and see me speak about a haunted house while sitting in the house itself! We'll have some laughs, play some audio, play some video, look at some photographs and maybe head across the street to the pub afterward for some spirits(get it, spirits? HA)!

Go ahead and RSVP here on meetup so I have an idea of who might be coming, and then click HERE to go to the Merchant's House website to reserve your seat. Seating is very limited and we've had to turn away people who have not reserved a seat so please, if you would like to attend you must reserve your seat with the Merchant's House.

This will be your last chance to see this particular version of, The Haunting of the Merchant's House, as I am retiring this lecture and working on a new updated lecture that we will start using the next time I speak at the house. Hope to see you there!

Hi Laurence and Dan (whoever's answering!)

    May we bring cameras?

    Thanks!

Dan is a big ham, so he certainly doesn't mind having his picture taken, but I'm not sure if photography of the interiors are permitted. This I cannot answer, so I would suggest that you bring it and ask when you get there.

Thanks! Although I'm sure pix of Dan would be great, I'm really looking for Gertrude! I'll ask the House when I get there.
