With crazy amounts of gratitude, Welcome! Take what resonates and leave the rest...
**Please know the number of of RSVPs on MeetUp does NOT reflect how many people will be at class. The average number of people attending our group is 20-25.
Thank you so much for joining our wonderful group! Come meditate with us.
No registration is necessary, all are welcome and it's totally free!
Simply, we are using the 2,600 year old tradition in the context of the 21st century to cultivate love and compassion to ourselves and the world around us. What our group offers is totally non-dogmatic approach and people from all faiths are welcome! We are interested in the exploration of the practical connection of dharma practice in our daily lives. The focus of the class is the belief that what we do off the cushion matters, and that engagement is more than a buzz word. SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION!
Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society was established by Noah Levine with the wish to create and sustain communities of healthy, accountable, wise and compassionate people from every walk of life. We welcome people from all racial, economic, sexual, social, political and religious backgrounds and preferences and believe that the path of awakening is attainable by all and should be available to all.
The Buddha said his path to awakening was one of rebellion – a subversive path that is against greed, against hatred, and against delusion. It is a path of radical, engaged transformation, a path of finding freedom and spending the rest of our lives giving it away. It is a path that goes Against the Stream
May we feel safe and secure
May we feel loved and cared for
May we find ease of mind in the midst of life
May we be happy
