Why did you want to join up to the Agile Auckland group?

Exposure to new ideas. Seeing where the state of things are in Auckland. Gathering tools to see how I can best apply techniques in this unfamiliar environment.

What areas of Agile do you work / participate or are interested in?

XP (TDD and pair programming). Lean/kanban, and how to align a whole organisation to allow software development to be done naturally and well. How to integrate with external forces that prevent lean techniques.

What has impacted you most when you think about Agile software development?

My time at BBC Worldwide, working with some genuine innovators. The place of quality in preventing failure demand affecting flow. Continuous integration and auto deployment. Learning non-development perspectives and how to understand other angles to the same issue.

I worked in the UK at BBC Worldwide, using Agile approaches (scrum, then kanban) for about 4 years. Now I'm back in Auckland, looking to further pursue my understanding and finding what is applicable to my new workplace (Affinity ID)
