I'm bummed I missed it - work commitments prevented me from attending. Is there a presentation available to view?

Terry -- We didn't video the session, but the material I used is from a recent Webinar I did with Red Gate Software and it's available on YouTube here:

Glad I attended! Dominic provided a very good presentation (with live demo) on automation of database schema maintenance in a distributed development environment! Through use of a throwaway "BUILD" environment, multiple complex changes are tested before they are applied to production. Several components were open source (Git, Github, Jenkins). Some SQLplus scripts were used for auditing schema changes. The demo used Oracle and a RedGate utility to compare database object definitions to a live database. However, the techniques Dominic presented could be used with other database systems (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, PostGRES, others?) There was a cool auditing feature that checked DDL changes as they were checked in to the source repository!

Looking forward to our first meetup of 2014! I've got a couple of ideas for topics -- the one I'd like to talk about is adding TDD to database schema development. I've got a presentation and demo of using Jenkins to test the correctness of database tables / columns, etc. which I'm happy to present.
