Designing MVP Experiments

  • Apr 15, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

What is a Minimum Viable Product?  What does it mean to design and conduct MVP experiments?  And where does UX design fit into it all?

For our next Meetup, we'll discuss how to quickly validate product features using lean methodologies, and how you can start implementing them in your organization. We'll also work through a simple workshop activity so you can get a feel for how lean experiments work in practice.

We hope you can join us!

We'll also be livestreaming the event at http://bit.ly/mvp-experiments-meetup

Presenter

Melissa Perri is a Product Designer at Conductor and teaches classes on Lean Product Management.

Agenda

6:30 to 7:00pm - Space opens, meet & greet.

I enjoyed the group exercise. As for MVP and strategies associated with it, I'm not sure there was much new if you already have some background in rapid prototyping and user testing outside the confines of some monolithic corporation. These sorts of practices have been going on for much longer than Lean's re-branding.

Just completed (and competed in) this year's NYC Lean Startup Machine workshop this past weekend and this should be a great add-on to that!

    April 15, 2013

    • Melissa P.

Hey Atul - did you make it in? There are 5 spots left now.

      April 15, 2013

    • Atul G.

Yes I am good now, thanks

Looks like there are a few spots opening up for those of you waiting. If you can make it out tonight, I would highly suggest it. There will be a workshop portion to this event and those are better in person than livestream.

I am currently in the waiting list but got an email that one slot is available. But I don't see any place to do RSVP "Yes"

    • Anders R.

This, unfortunately, is how Meetup has designed their automated waitlist feature, and it is very annoying I agree. I'd recommend that you voice your frustration to Meetup here: http://meetup.uservoi...
