We are looking for a front-end developer with a serious eye for design to help shape our user experience. You should be just as passionate about writing elegant code as you are about building beautiful interfaces that keep users coming back for more. This is an exciting opportunity to join a startup from the ground up.

As a UI Developer, you will:

• Craft clean, usable experiences for desktop and mobile browsers.
  
• Translate business requirements and designs into HTML5/CSS3 interfaces.
  
• Work closely with software engineers to integrate front and backend components.
  
• Help establish engineering best practices.
  

Our ideal candidate has:

• Demonstrable experience building cross-browser compliant applications using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and AJAX.
  
• A solid understanding of event-driven applications built on Backbone.
  
• Experience coding against RESTful APIs.
  
• The ability to hit the ground running and push new features on a regular basis.
  

A big plus if you have:

• A strong UX design background.
  
• E-commerce experience.
  
• Experience with javascript templating languages such as Mustache or Handelbars.
  
• Django experience.
  
• Github experience.
  

Both freelance and full-time candidates will be considered, but you must be able to spend time on-site at our offices in the Fashion District of NYC.
