Agile for the Enterprise: An Overview of the Scaled Agile Framework

As Agile Methods continues its broad based adoption in organizations the world over, the issue of scaling the core practices beyond the Team Level is paramount to the long-term success and sustainability of any Agile transformation.

The Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe - (www.scaledagileframework.com) aims to extend the benefits of Agile at the Team Level by providing guidance on creating an environment at the Program and Portfolio levels so organizations can adopt agile values, principles and practices.

Through a discussion of SAFe, case studies and experiences of scaling agile in the large enterprise, the key challenges and opportunities of scaling agile will be discussed.

This Meet-Up will be hosted by Mack Adams, a long time Agile practitioner (and Uvic grad) who's worked and lived in the US, India, UK and France, helping organizations move towards agile. He primarily works on linking Product Management with Agile Development organizations through Agile Product Discovery approaches like User Story Mapping, Collaborative Chartering, etc. He is also a certified SAFe Program Consultant. Currently, he's co-founder of Alluvial Consulting, CEO of Superbrothers, Inc, and an avid photographer.
