Radical Management in Practice

Radical Management in Practice (cca 90 minutes)

Many organizations are based on a hierarchical bureaucracy with managers who practice command and control. This approach is incompatible with much twenty-first century work, which is knowledge based and best carried out in self-organized teams.
Building on Steve Denning's "Radical Management", a guidance is provided on what managers should do to best support the work of agile teams.
We will draw on experiences from Deutsche Telekom's large scale agile transition, which has involved a dramatic change in management culture.

The speaker, Simon Roberts, MBA is a management consultant and Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), based in Berlin, Germany. He is currently focussed on helping executives in large organizations so they can achieve their goals through the use and support of agility. He was honored to take part as one of the 21 participants in the January 2012 Stoos gathering on 21st Century leadership and management where he co-authored the Stoos Communiqué.

The sponsors of the evening are: Sprint Consulting and IQSoft - John Bryce Oktatóközpont.

Thank you for this great evening. I think excercises were very useful for meeting new people sitting around us and also helped deepening the information what we learnt.

it was a very good and authentic presentation. Thank you, Simon, thanks to the organizers.

I think the picture of Robert McNamara was from the movie "The Fog of War" (8,1/10 on imdb) :-) ( it is a must watch movie ).

Great event, thanks for taking the time Simon, and thanks again to the organisers.

Also, an article about how Google applied agile principles to create their current design language. Interesting stuff and seems to be working for them:

Hi All, we will start at 6:30 PM, but please make sure you arrive by then. This is due to the fact that the presenter will finish its training today at 6:00 PM, so both the trainer and the participants can arrive for sure.
