One of the skills in a great manager's toolbox is the ability to give clear, concise, and convincing presentations. A great presentation can inform, motivate, and even entertain the audience. Ideas that are presented well have a much greater chance of getting noticed and implemented. People who give great presentations get noticed as well. This month we will be sharing tips and tricks that will help you give great presentations. We will be starting at 6:30 PM, and will once again enjoy the hospitality of Rearden Commerce, as they provide us with great facilities and tasty food. 6:30 - 7:00 Networking and food Katie will be in the lobby to ferry folks up. If she's not there when you arrive, you can hail her at: [masked]. 7:00 - 8:00 We share tips and tricks that will help you give great presentations. 8:00 - 9:00 Round-table discussion of your engineering management issues Bring your questions and get ideas and feedback from your fellow engineering managers. Our Sponsors: The Technical Management Institute Rearden Commerce
I will always remember this presentation when I need to prepare one. Good tip: bring a backup of your presentation and other things you might need. If the in-focus flakes; be ready with a strong plan-b. Flip charts maybe or perhaps a portable projector. Or maybe a unicyle and some juggling balls.
