Bunker Hill Community College (map)
“Eat it to save it” is a growing movement led by the Slow Food USA Organization’s Ark of Taste Committee. It is an effort to save regional food systems by showing how we can support biodiversity and sustainably-produced foods by EATING them. (http://www.eatittosav...)
We can all do our part as consumer activists to promote and support responsibly-made and sourced foods. There are a number of local businesses working hard to do the right thing: making and selling quality products that are good for the people and planet.
Please join the next Agrowcity event to meet some of our local heroes and see how you can vote with your dollar!
Harvest Co-op a community-owned, not-for-profit grocery cooperative
Hilltop Farm a 28-acre local farm running a Community Support Agriculture (CSA)program
We will also have the opportunity to meet other local businesses and producers in the area. Stay tuned!
Slow Food BU – a campus convivium of Slow Food USA, will also be joining to share how students can get involved on their campuses!
Date: Wednesday, March 31, 2010
Time: 6-8pm
Location: Bunker Hill Community College, 250 Rutherford Ave, Boston, MA 02129 (Room E-419 in the E Building)

Many thanks to our great panelist speakers and the faculty and culinary arts students at Bunker Hill Community College! The evening was filled with wonderful information and delicious food prep by these future chefs. I apologize for the confusion with the room change that evening. Delta for next time!
I am so glad this group exists! I may not get to any meetings for a while, but would be interested to know of your activities. I hope valuable info and discussion will be posted on message board.
