We are looking for people interested in Aikikai style Aikido (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aikikai) -- beginners and experienced practitioners welcome. You may join at anytime - no need to wait until the beginning of a month to get started! If you are unfamiliar with Aikido, you are welcome to stop-by and observe as many classes as you wish and ask lots of questions.

Class times: Tue & Thur @ 7:30PM (Advanced) & 8:30PM (Fundamentals)

Aikido comes from the ancient Japanese tradition of the samurai - service. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art based on unbalancing and turning an attacker's power aside. The study of aikido increases flexibility, endurance, and balance. Most students find that it reduces stress and increases the ability to focus. Aikido can be a very effective form of self-defense. However, that is not the goal of aikido; rather we strive for agatsu, the control of ourselves. We are a affiliated with the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU) and Aikikai Foundation (Hombu Dojo, Tokyo, Japan).  We are located in the Tri-Cities (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, West Richland) region of Washington state.

Ages: 12+

The ASU Handbook with all of the rules, regulations and description of proper etiquette can be downloaded as a PDF here:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/zsqg3s4zll6qq74/a...
