PhotoWalk - Sibley Volcanic Regional Park

Let's walk and get some early morning light at Sibley - great views (if it's clear) and ethereal pictures if it's not!  This is a tripod walk, we'll have some great opportunities for abstract, close up and landscapes.

Note the early start time 9AM.  The google map shows a general area for Sibley.  We'll meet at the carpark at the foot of Water Tank Road (the GPS coordinates for the car park are: 37.84775, -122.19859)

Is anyone interested in carpooling from No. Oakland/Emeryville/So. Berkeley area? I can drive or would be happy to ride with someone.

It's a good idea to carpool, parking can be a challenge up there.....

I had no idea we even had a Volcanic Park in Oakland! I would love to catch this if it happens again.

My wife, Cheryl, and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Sibley Volcanic Preserve and meeting the other participants. This was our first meetup. Graham is friendly, easy-going, and helpful. And he has a good sense of humor. He made useful suggestions about the kinds of photos that we might be interested in taking and answered many of our questions about digital photography. He also called upon other, more experienced, photographers in the group to answer specific questions about equipment and software. We're looking forward to attending more meetups.

I enjoyed the walk and meeting and talking with the others. The light was pretty bright, so found it hard to take photos. Maybe an earlier start would help next time.
