Is Lightroom three good for beginning editors? Is it better than Photoshop elements? I'm on a thirty day trial, and haven't made a decision yet.

In my view, yes. Much better than PS (in any form).
YMMV :-)) Is Lightroom three good for beginning editors? Is it better than Photoshop elements? I'm on a thirty day trial, and haven't made a decision yet. |

In my view, yes. Much better than PS (in any form). Hi Phyllis. Graham is right, once you're comfortable with Lightroom, it has a more flexible workflow than Photoshop, especially with batch editing. However, if you're not familiar with any of the programs in the Adobe line, Lightroom can be a daunting program to learn from scratch. I tend to use Lightroom and Photoshop in tandem, as each has it's strengths. If your totally new to Adobe, try downloading a Photoshop CS5 trial and a Lightroom trial in addition Photoshop Elements. Take one photograph and edit it in all three programs. See what you think. You can get a million answers, but in the end the right choice is the one you're comfortable with as you're the one editing your work. :) Best of luck, Mari |
