While McDonald's has pulled the radio ad and apologized for their poor choice of advertising we feel it is too little too late.

By choosing to insinuate that petting a Pit Bull is LESS safe than their chicken McNuggets McDonald's is perpetuating the stereotypes associated with the American Pit Bull Terrier. The public already thinks these dogs are 'bad' and advertising such as the above does not help our cause. As breed advocates we feel it is our duty to protect the image of our beloved breed.  That being said we are going to hold a peaceful boycott against breed discrimination @ one of the local McDonald's here in San Antonio.

As this will be a very public event we respectfully request that only well behaved, leashed dogs be in attendance.  Please NO spiked collars or tow chain leashes allowed.  Thank you for your continued support.

It was well worth our time being out there with our dogs, despite the bad weather. Really enjoyed it!

It was well worth the time spent out there with the dogs. We had many people stop and talk to us about what we were doing. Some even left and went to Burger King.

United we stood & tried to inform any person who wanted to know why we were there about the McDonald's 'advertisement'... It sure would have been nice would more people had attended the boycott....:(:(:(

It was the right thing to do. They may have made an "appoligy" but they should have never done the commercial to begin with and that was the point of this
