Introduction

Hello!

How did you hear about Alamo Running Buddies?

I searched for a running group online.

What days and times are best for you to meet for runs? We want to offer runs throughout the week, morning and night. If mornings are good, what's the earliest and latest you could meet? If evenings are good, what's the earliest you could meet.

Weekends are best (anytime). Afternoons and evenings during the week are possibilities.

What part of town are you in; NE, NC, NW, SE, Alamo Heights, Balcones Heights, etc? We are interested so we can plan convenient locations to meet at. Do you have favorite spots to run already that would be good for a group to meet at ?

Balcones Heights/Monticello Park area

What level do you feel like you are at with your running; couch potato with running shoes, novice, developing heart and lungs, ready for some 5k/10k races, intermediate, specialist, advanced amateur, Olympic hopeful, pro?

Somewhere near halfway respectable. I'd like to become more of a racer of half marathons than a finisher of them.

What is your typical average training pace, or how long does it take you to run a mile, 2 miles, or 3 miles? What distances are you wanting to run? Are you training for a particular event?

~8 minutes/mile for paved trail runs ~10 minutes/mile for natural trail runs I'm hoping for greater consistency in running year round, including any and all distances between 3 and 13 miles. In recent years, I have run one to two half marathons per year. However, I tend to be inconsistent with my running when I'm not specifically training for a race.
