Yes, that dog, Bear, went back to the Uvalde Humane Society. But the last time I checked the website, he was removed from the list of adoptable dogs, so I'm hoping it means he was adopted. I ended up adopting a little 9-pounder. She's a Terrier/Chihuahua mix, and named her Toffee. Fudge, Toffee, and I are planning on attending more meetups again. Brenda, thanks for your sweet note. We rented a 7 mo. old puppy to amuse us. He likes chasing Fudge. (I'm kidding; we're fostering him over the holidays.) Ripken was the closest 4-legged friend I've ever had--- and I've been around dogs for 50 years. So, so special to me. I'm sure you know how the loss feels, and I really do appreciate your prayers!
