Alaska Horror network Meetup
Thursday, 23 feb 2012 7:00-9:00 pm Uncle joes Pizzeria 11700 Old Seward Hwy http://www.unclejoesp... Hi All, sorry about the late notice. This months meetup will be at Uncle Joes Pizzeria on Old Seward about 1/2 mile south of Lowes. Our Normal meeting place at O'Brady's has remodeled their bar area and there is inadequate room left in the area of the restaurant where we would normally meet. I stopped in and talked with the owner of Uncle Joes this evening to be sure there was no event or something happening Thursday night and it is all clear. they have adequate space and seem very accommodating. We will meet at our regular time of 7-9 pm. I see there are a number of new members. Hope to see you there! And hope that some of the other members who haven't been with us for a while might find the opportunity to come out. Our meetups are a casual conversation concerning past projects, ongoing ones and upcoming and you never know what opportunities you might find while sitting round the table. Some, but not all of the projects that some of our members have worked on in one fashion or the other in the last year include but are certainly not limited to: Frost Bite 1 Little girl under the floor Eyes for Amber (official selection Anchorage International film festival) The Devil and Danny Webber (official selection Anchorage International film festival) Battle Scars Snow Angels For the Love of Andrea Princess Vote Here many much more that escapes me at just this moment while I try to get this mailer out in it's late fashion. I think it's awesome the amount of good, like minded, friends We have made over the last year and a half since the inception of this group. And the networking! Thank you all! I sure love film, And did I mention the friends! :) The filmmaking community in Alaska is growing and it's a great group of supportive people to be involved with. We are all passionate about film each in our own way. Some of us see it as a hobby, while others are pursuing a dream and career. either way and wherever you fit within that spectrum I hope you come on out and join in the conversation. You never know what might open up. ! Thanks again! Kyle |
