Great Outdoor Clothing Co (map)
We will be tabling for Animal Acres and Tsunami Animal Rescue from 10am to 2ish pm. we may stay longer if we feel like it. Please bring your baked good to the Meetup or at Gavin's place by 9am, [masked].
There will be shifts two hours long starting every hour to make sure we have people there the whole time Please sign up for a shift! Gavin will be there most of the day but he needs help! If you want to stay longer that is fine the more the merrier, this just represents having people there.
Erin will be making flyers to hand out with info on the non-profits and veganism.

hmm. What is happening that week? I this something that we could do outside on the sidewalk? Perhaps we could look into a charity that benefits kids.
Perhaps we could do that if its warm enough to be outside that long. I hope that by the end of April, it will be. Perhaps downtown somewhere? I was hoping for a charity that benefits animals, since I feel like that fits our goals a bit more. (not that I don't care about children)
I'm going to schedule a planning meetup for this event to cover what charity that we want to support as well as event details.
Sounds great...we should probably start planning this month if we are going to pull it all off.
A planning meetup was just posted for this upcoming Wednesday at 7pm. I hope you can make it!
So I just looked at the date and realized that I am teaching a class until 12:30. I will be happy to bake and print off flyers, but I may not be able to table sit. Once I figure out my child care, I'll be able to say more definitely
The last planning meeting was just posted for this Saturday at 1pm.
I can table whenever you need me. I am not sure what I'm making yet, but I am leaning toward something savory as well as something sweet.
I will table from 11-1. I think I am just going to make some cookies. Are we still planning on just displaying them ready to eat- not wrapped?
Not sure if this was already covered but the Health Departments states that bake sales cannot contain health hazardous items such as custards, meringue, (soy in our case) etc. Anything that needs to be refrigerated. I'm sure this won't be an issue but just an FYI.
Some Coconut-Banana Cake and Pumpkin Spice Muffins...coming up!
I'm planning a sandwich-style cookie, but then I started thinking about my giant cowgirl cookies that are huge and delicious, so now I'm on the fence. I think it's going to be cowgirl cookies.
Gavin, if you're making chocolate chip cookies, I'll be there ;-)
Sounds like fun, and delicious. Sorry I'll be out of Alaska... Hope sales go well!
I'm so sorry to be a loser butt head, but Violet has an eye infection and all plans for today went out the window. I will still have fliers and I did get our venue (and my friend is posting it on The Great Outdoor Clothing Store facebook page (add them). Anyway, I still have to prep for the classes I'm teaching tomorrow, so I won't have a chance to cook tonight.
No worries Erin, thanks for the heads up.
Stacy: you think you like my cookies, wait till you have one of my cupcakes :-D
The total from the bake sale was 89.75! Not too shabby in my opinion. Plus there is TONS of food left. I am making a sugar rush after party for tomorrow.
Awesome...yeah that is pretty darn good. We should do another over the summer or something...maybe at an outdoor festival of some sort? Anyways, the after party sounds good.
If people seem interested, lets start planning now so we can find a venue and decide on a charity to donate the proceeds to well ahead of time.
