  • And hey, Brunch can be meaty. My favorite thing to use my gluten for is homemade sausages!

  • I think we need an uncheese meetup. People can bring their store-baught favorites or their homemade versions with recipes. Maybe wine and uncheese?

  • Oh I have gluten in my pantry, Russ. Mama didn't raise no fool! I will have to see what's in my CSA box and maybe I'll do a trial run. I might even stuff it with something other than Thanksgiving-ish flavors depending on what's in the box.

  • Maybe we need to do another seitan meetup fairly soon...

    Sep 29, 2010 12:56 AM
  • Hey Russ, I take it you are the seitan guru? I LURVE the celebration loaf by Field Roast and want to try making my own version of it. I was thinking maybe for the pot luck, or maybe for my family Thanksgiving dinner a couple days later. If I make the stuffing, roll out a basic seitan recipe and then wrap it in cheese cloth, do you think I should steam or boil it before baking it?
