Introduction
I'm a composer and performing musician relatively new to the Albany area. I mostly (not exclusively!) work in classical and folk music, and I'm looking forward to meeting other musicians around here!
What genre of music do you compose?
Classical, folk, occasionally other stuff.
How long have you been composing?
Most of my life. I got interested in composing at about the same time I got interested in playing music (as a young child), and chose composition for my major in conservatory.
What would you most like to get out of this Meetup group?
I'd like to meet other composers and performing musicians in the Albany area! It's always nice to meet colleagues; also, I hope to find out about performance opportunities for my work, and I hope to meet other composers whose work I might be able to perform.
