Hi Everyone,
At our last meeting we worked on planning for our concert in May. We are planning to have a meeting in the next two weeks to solidify up some more plans for the concert. A date has not been picked yet - if you would like to attend and have a specific date request, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate. If not, just keep an eye out for the announcement! The more composers we can get involved in this, the better it will be! And now, a message from Ian Geller about the concert: I had been in touch with Michael Farley at the Bethlehem Public Library. He told me we could use their space, with a Kawai grand piano, which is certainly no Steinway, on May 6, 13, or 20. It is free, we cannot charge admission, and because they close on Sunday at five, their programs usually start at 2:00 pm. I would prefer May 15 and left a voice mail today telling him we want it, (we can always change our collective minds) but EVERYONE should immediately determine what we want to do and plan repertoire. I told Kit last night that I can sing peoples stuff as well as my own stuff. I am a classical baritone and can and have done (rarely) all sorts of pop and jazz. You can hear what I sound like on my website: iangeller.com. For my stuff I need a good pianist. Let's do this! Ian Geller |
