SPECIAL PATRIOTIC PROGRAM AND TALK ON THE CONSTITUTION
FEBRUARY 16 IN ALBANY
ALBANY, NEW YORK – January 28, 2012 - Robert “Bob” Schulz, prominent constitutional defender and activist, along with Judith Whitmore, as incorporators of “We The People of New York, Inc,” will offer a special patriotic program and talk on the state of the New York and federal Constitutions on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 7-9pm at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, 63 Mountain View Ave, Albany NY 12205. The event is being hosted by the Albany 9-12 Group. Admission is free (donations welcome) and all are welcome.
Schulz and his organizations have spent more than 30 years holding government accountable to the New York State and federal Constitutions. The two will discuss what the U.S. and New York Constitutions say about war, money, debt, corporate welfare, the Federal Reserve, homeland security, electronic voting systems, privacy and more; the now routine violations of our Constitutions by elected officials at every level of government; and what the People can do now to fix the system by holding elected officials accountable, aside from voting new people into office every two or four years.
“It seems everybody and everything is lobbying our elected officials to protect and enhance their interests - except the People and their Constitutions,” said Schulz. “It’s time for the People to develop a non-political CONSTITUTION “LOBBY” for the sole purpose of holding government accountable to the Rule of Law, here on in.”
Schulz transitioned in 1979 from a visible and successful career which included industry, state government, federal government, Wall Street and management consulting, towards what eventually became a full-time commitment to holding elected officials accountable to the Constitutions and laws of New York and the United States. He has educated people within the state and throughout America to become better informed about their Rights, government’s obligations under the Constitutions and how to hold government accountable. Citizens across America have responded to his call for permanent citizen vigilance through the establishment of a “Constitution Lobby” in every state.
Since October, Schulz and Whitmore have made considerable effort to educate the Occupy Wall Street movement about the tools offered by the Constitution to address issues of concern to the “99%,” through a “Constitution Working Group” he established there. Out of the group has come a Statement of Beliefs as well as seven First Amendment Petitions for Redress which seek to remedy constitutional violations on the Bailouts, Federal Reserve, Monetary Policy, Public Debt, Clean Elections, Civic Education and Abuse of War Powers/Foreign Policy. The Petitions can be read and signed by citizens at www.OccupyTheConstitution.org
“The Constitution is not a menu and it cannot defend itself,” said Schulz. “The People are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberties.” For more information, visit www.wethepeopleofny.org
