Meet local desi people and socialize. I found there was no meetup group for desis around capital region, so this group is one for all desi activites like dance, bhangra, cricket, potlucks, chai biskut chats, any religious festival parties and anything you name it.
Its a place where you can share the culture. Its a home for anyone who is away from it.
Everyone is welcomed to come up with ideas and schedule the activities. For example we can fix a spot and watch 20-20 world cup cricket, girls can have their owe night outs, watch a desi movie in madison theater, anything ! or if you have something in your mind - spill it out -

Desi is any person of South Asian heritage with ancestry from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri lanka.
